This is my first book cover and it was so much fun to make! The only thing I was given was this fantastic illustration so full of detail and wanted to work it out so that the predominant colors do not get in the way of the scary message the body language of the characters is trying to express so in order to achieve that I decided to desaturate everything but Alice and the Cat and I think it worked pretty well. I tried several versions for the logo but we went on the simpler one: Gothic Horror as this is not the traditional tale of Alice in Wonderland.
